Web4site MasterEpanel Editor Toolbar Explained
 
The aim of our MasterEpanel Editor is to make it very easy to update your site. That’s why we made it look and feel like a basic text editor. Apart from the basics, like changing the font, bolding, etc, here are some of the functions:
 
 
Source
By clicking this button you will be able to see the HTML code behind your content and formatting.
Warning: We recommend you only edit your website pages by the source if you are proficient in HTML coding.
Save Page
Once clicked your changes will be live on the internet.
New Page
This will clear all text from the editor and leave you with a blank page.
Preview
To view your content in a separate pop up window.
Templates
Gives you a selection of layouts to use for your content.
Paste as Plain Text
This will remove all the formatting (colour, font, size etc) of copied or cut text.
Paste from Word
If you are copying anything from Microsoft Word you will need to insert it into a clean up box to fix any incompatible formatting with the MasterEpanel editor.
Find
Lets you locate certain words or phrases.
Find and Replace
Saves you time by finding a word or words you would like to change.
Eraser
Removes the formatting of selected text.
Number List
You can use numbers to indent a list on your website, to use; type out a list of text pressing enter after each one, highlight the list and press the 'numbered list' button. To add more numbers; click beside the last item on the list and press enter.
Bullet Points
You can use bullet points to indent a list on your website, to use; type out a list of text pressing enter after each one, highlight the list and press the 'bullet point' button.
To add more bullets; click beside the last item on the list and press enter.
To remove a bullet point, click on the place in between the bullet point and the first word and click the bullet button.
Insert/Edit a Link



Used to create a link to another page, email address or anchor point.

Link Types



URL – for a web address

E-Mail – for an email address
Anchor in this page - to link to an anchor point on this page Open the linked page or document in a new window; Select from existing site pages
You can also change the target of the link by clicking on the “Target” tab and choosing what window you want the link to open in.
Remove Link
Removes a link that you have selected.
Anchor



This creates an anchor point which can be linked to on the webpage. This is most commonly used when you have a lot of content and have a table of content that links to respective headings.
Enter a name for the anchor.
<- It will then create this anchor icon, which can be easily moved around the webpage.
Now you need to create a link to the anchor. Select the text you want to be the link and click on



Change the Link Type to “Anchor in this page”.
Then select the name of your anchor and press OK.
Insert/Edit Image
Click to insert an image into your webpage. (Must be .jpg or .gif files)



To place the image on the webpage you first need to upload it to your web server. Click on Browse Server.



You will then be taken to a new window that will list all the images on your website server (note: if this is your first time uploading an image there will be nothing listed). Click the Browse button and search your computer for the image you wish to upload.



Once you’ve selected the image, press Upload.
Important:
Large image files that slow down the websites loading time (try to keep image file sizes below 100KB)
Flash
To insert a flash file into the webpage.
Table
Use to insert a table. Available options: number of rows & columns, table width & height, background colour, background image, cell padding, cell spacing and border.
Horizontal Rule
A horizontal rule is a line divider to help separate your text.
